Your housewarming party can be a great success. I have been to many a housewarming party and some of them have been great...

but others have been, well....sort of boring. The best housewarming parties are those that have great food, fun housewarming games, and great people.

Of course you can't control whether or not the people who attend are "great". Well maybe you can, but you can definitely control the food and the party games.

Housewarming Party Food

You don't have to go overboard with the party food, but you do want to be sure that you have a nice variety. Here is a list of some of the foods that I've either eaten at a housewarming party or that I have personally prepared for housewarmings that I have hosted:

Housewarming Hunt

I've been to some housewarmings where there weren't any housewarming party games played, but I've also been to a few where games were played. I think one of the best housewarming games I played was at my close friends housewarming party. It was a memory game. First she gave us all a tour of her house. Then after the tour, she asked questions to see what we remembered about each room. For example, "In which room did you see a purple star?"

It was almost like a reverse scavenger hunt. Really fun. The person who answered the most correctly was the winner.
