Valentine Party Game Ideas and Supplies

Fun games for groups and couples

Valentine Party Game Ideas are most often variations of other party games, but with a valentine game party twist.

Though February 14th is a day, traditionally, set aside for sweethearts and lovers, it is also a day for friends, family, co-workers, and classmates.

Children in school, exchange little Valentine's cards and candy hearts. Co-workers exchange cards and sometimes throw Valentine Day office parties.

Valentine's Day is a day of love and appreciation. It's a day for everyone, married, engaged, dating, and single! Love the people around you. But more importantly, love yourself.

Love Song Game:

Have your guest write down as many song titles as they can that contain the word love. The person who writes down the most titles in a 1 or 2 minute time period wins the game.

Love Story Bingo:

Hand your guests a blank bingo card. and instruct them to fill in the blank squares with the names of as many romantic comedies or love stories. Then, from your pre-written list, call out the names of the titles you've written down. The first to get five across, diagonal, or down, wins.

My Prince Charming Game:

For this game, men have to take off their partner's shoes and then make a circle. They are blindfolded and the shoes are then thrown into the middle of the circle. On "GO" all men must go (with verbal directions from their partners) and retrieve their shoes and put each shoe back correctly on the appropriate foot. The winning couple is the one that manages first to have the lady's shoes back on. Continue the game until the last couple does it right! Offer prizes to the winners.

Red Hearts, Good Hearts Game:

For this party game you have to hang many colored hearts from the roof or fasten them on walls and furniture. Make red hearts the less in number. Couples must start dancing to the rythm of music. When the music stops suddenly, all players have to get a red heart for themselves. If they take off a heart of another color or do not succeed in finding a red heart, they must drop out of the game. Colorful hearts hanging from the roof also make a great Valentine day decoration.

More party resources: This online store has some pretty valentines decorations. You might take a look just to get some ideas. More than likely you can find these off-line as well.

Selecting Party Decor

For your Valentine's Day Party, you will need the usual valentine party ware like cups, plates, spoons, napkins, etc. However, for Valentines day, you want to stick to the traditional colors like pink, red, burgundy, and white.

You can purchase pastel or hot pink plates and coordinate them with pastel/hot pink flatware. Balloons are great for parties, so hang a few red, white, and pink balloons through out the area.

Coordinate your table cloths to match the decor. For centerpieces you can used small stuffed animals, like red, white, and pink teddy bears.
